STASIA STOCKWELL is a journalist based below the ridges of the Tenmile Range in Breckenridge, Colorado. A writer and editor with over a decade of experience, her work focuses on the outdoors and environment.

Her bylines can be found in 5280, Treeline Review, the Summit Daily, Backpacker, REI’s Uncommon Path, Insider, SKI, and more. Stasia is also the managing editor of Trails Magazine, where she helps produce stories for the quarterly print publication.

In past lives, Stasia worked as a backcountry guide in Southeast Alaska, dawn patrolled in professional kitchens as a baker, and helped manage a small wine bar in the mountains. She’s a lifelong skier, mountain biker, backpacker, and trail runner who’s passionate about lowering barriers to entry for outdoor sports and preserving the places we’re lucky enough to play in.
