A true mountain dweller, Stasia feels most at home in the Alpine. She writes primarily in the outdoor adventure and environmental realm, with the desire to connect readers from all backgrounds with nature in a meaningful way.
Her bylines have landed in 5280, Treeline Review, BACKPACKER, REI’s Uncommon Path, and SKI, among others, and she’s the managing editor of the forthcoming Trails Magazine. Along with writing, Stasia spent a few seasons working as a backcountry guide in southeast Alaska. She’s a lifelong skier, mountain biker, backpacker, and trail runner who’s passionate about both lowering barriers to entry for outdoor sports and environmental sustainability. Through her work, she hopes to provoke a sense of belonging and respect for the natural world.
Stasia is based in Breckenridge, CO (native Ute land), where she can be found searching for powder stashes on skis or kneading homemade bagels to fuel her adventures.
